There was order inherent within the Quaker and Puritan communities, as they were commonly united by their moral code/ethics (biblical). Individuals were more likely to be supported, and less likely to suffer hardship at the hands of others if they were within these communities. Also, Quaker and Puritan communities worked collaboratively to achieve community goals and outcomes, an individual was more likely to benefit from a collective effort than by their individual efforts.
