What is the best oil to use in a 99 passat?

I have a 1999 volkswagen passat, i have 222k miles and i was curious which kind of oil would be best for my car. I currently use 10-30 and i feel like i may either have an oil leak or something along those lines because i feel like i go through oil sooooo fast.
