Where should we travel to?

My sister, our friend and I plan to go on a road trip this summer and I need some ideas on where we should go. We live in Chesapeake,Virginia and we want to go out of state but cool places in VA are welcomed ideas too. So if you know of nice places that have cool things to do or great things to see I would love to hear about them. Also we are very diverse you can throw us in the city or in the country and we'd be happy and a few things we're into are music,art,history,plays,nature,and shopping, so feel free to share any ideas you have.
