2004 Volkswagen jetta 1.8T for $2200?

I am looking to for my sisters first car. The only real requirements are that it be automatic, and for about $1500-$2000. I was looking on craigslist private sellers, and only finding junk. Then today I looked in dealers, and found this great looking jetta (she loves vws) for so cheap. Is it too good to be true? What do you think?

But those times when I have worked hard at my part time job during school or spent hours studying, she complained she felt neglected. Lately, I was depressed and lacked motivation and graduation was not good. I thought she might leave at any time. On the job front, many of my classmates have had trouble finding work, but recently I felt really invigorated and motivated. I went downstairs today and basically told my wife that "I'm going to get out there and show these people they can't hold me back." I felt great for the first time in weeks. She immediately turned on me, told me I'm being a jerk and that my only goal should be to be nice to others. I felt like for once, after everything that happened, she could have been happy I had my drive back. She's told me plenty of times to get out there and do what you need. Now when I've been fired up, she says I'm a jerk. When she was looking for her job last month, she was offered a lousy position at a school in a bad part of town, which treated the kids like fools. My wife said she wanted to teach kids to achieve in life, and so held out for another job though she did not know if she would get one. She did, and I supported her in all this. But I'm in Catch-22 with her all the time. At lunch yesterday she said her grandfather had eaten her food (he lives with us). I said I would ask him not to eat her food from the fridge, she said that I was being rude and should respect her grandfather. Today at lunch, same complaint, he had eaten her food again. I said nothing, and so she got angry at me saying I should solve the problem. What was I supposed to do? It bothers me that any answer I have is the wrong answer, whether little issues or big ones. It bothers me that because I don't give her everything she wants she treats me like crap. We have all the basics, she wants extras. Why can't she support me when I need it? Why is everything I do wrong?

wow that would scare me to death if my dog got shocked. The worst thing that has every happened to me while walking my dog is when my pitbull great dane mix fell down and had a seizure. I was forced to stop playing college football and I cannot find myself to be motivated to go to the gym and get a consistent workout regimen. I have been struggling with my weight for years now. I always start exercising and do it for one and am unable to move the next day. I eat late at night often. I want to become a vegetarian so that I can lose weight sooner. I normally eat big meals and never any breakfast cuz a coffee with cream and 3 sugars. How can I keep myself motivated? I weigh 210lbs and am 5'10 in height. I do not exercise at all basically and when I do it I am usually too sore the next day. Way I try to exercise are walking swimming and rollerblading. so i had to pull my motor & tranny out to change my torque converter and now everything is back together and now my 2.0 aba 1994 Volkswagen golf won't start, my fuel injectors are working, im getting spark, My timing is dead on & i have compression, i checked my grounds and all of my plugs. Hi, it's summer break and I'm having a hard time getting off the computer and being motivated to work out. I don't want to spend all my time playing video games or playing online. I don't have friends and I can't get my parents on letting me go out and do some community service. I'm trapped in my house and addicted to playing video games, and playing outside in the backyard is boring sometimes. Got any hobbies that won't bore me, and anything my parents would let me do, that is safe to do outside in broad daylight? Also tell me how to stop playing video games and getting on this stupid computer. I also don't have friends to hang out with during the summer. Parents: Would you let your child do this?

Ok, first off I'm 15. My parents are letting me do this acting thing over the summer. It involves me staying out until 2am but I'm in good care and for the performances my father has to be there anyway. Now my dilemma is that I want to do this during the school year too, and I know that this seems pretty much out of the question but let me give an argument. The performances are only on every other weekend, on Friday and Saturday so I would not be missing any school. I would make sure my grades don't slip below an A or I would promise to quit. I would show my parents all my homework so they could see it was done and that I wasn't slacking off. The rehearsals are on Sunday, but are only until 8. I usually don't have anything outside of school so this would be a great thing for me to look forward to and motivate me to do well in school. So that pretty much concludes my argument. I was going under an overpass one day on my way to New York (I was still in NJ because I didn't pass the Lincoln Tunnel yet). And what I though at the time was mud hit and splashed the side of the car, the front and back windshield, as well as the front bumper and the back on the side of the truck. Their were men on the overpass so I didn't put two in two together that it might be wet cement. A couple day late, I wash my car and the gray stuff that was all over it would not come off. I washed my car three times and it still would not come off. So I went to my kitchen and got a Scotch-Brite 3M Non-Scratch Scrub Sponges( I looked it up because I could remember the name of it). Anyway, I went to scrub the cement off of my car and it would not come off. I started to use my nails and scratch the cement and it started to come off a little bit, so I wet the sponge and used the back side, the green side, and it came off. I started at the front on the hood, and did the front windshield and that came off too. It took about ten minutes to just the three spots on the hood and the windshield. They weren't big spots, but it was hard to come off. The spots I would say were the size of the quarter or probably a little bit bigger. I took a break and when I came back I started on the couple of the spot on the back, side near the back side window. It took some scrubbing but two of the spots finally came off. When I checked the front and then the back the car, I noticed that the spot was scudded up and scratched and the car was discolored where I scrubbed it. I was pissed off. Not only will the cement not come off, but now on the few spots that I tried to get the stuff off it is discolored and scratched. After that, I gave up. There are still spots all over my car, window and front bumper. I don't think that I should just eat this. If I decided to sell my car the value will probably go down because of these scratches. Not that my car is new or anything, but it was in good shape before this incident. My car is a gray 2002 Volkswagen Jetta GLS.

I am looking for a good pheasant hunting dog that is good with the family. We have always had Chesapeake Bay Retrievers in the past, and love the breed, but are looking to try something new. We own 3+ acres of open woodland, and there is much more open space beyond for the dogs to run and play. I used to do heavy weights but after a week or so I got bored because it's boring. Is it normal for a parent to tell one child to not end up like their older sibling? for as long as i was born i used to always be fat up until last year when i finally got the courage to motivate myself to get thin. The system has detected a malfunction somewhere in the emissions system. The most common sensor to fail is the O2 sensor. It's on the exhaust system. But there is no way to tell if that is the case. You need your cars computer scanned for the error code. Many auto stores will do that for free like Auto Zone. A bad sensor can reduce your fuel economy and make the engine run a bit rough. 2003 GTI 1.8 burning oil?

I have a 2003 Volkswagen GTI 1.8t manual 5spd w/silverline exhaust and ABD intake. When it's idling I can smell the oil burning but don't see smoke. Smell goes away when driving but if i stop and just idle the engine for awhile it starts to blow blue smoke out the exhaust but it goes away again after driving.. Thought it was because of the valve cover gasket that was leaking but after replacing it there's no difference. Could it be from oil on the engine from when the VC gasket was leaking? It could also be from the turbo because I've noticed when boosting (mainly in first gear) it looses power and jerks a little at about 2500rpms that I attributed to a leak in a vacuum hose (I can hear it leak when the turbo starts to spool) but starting to think the turbo might be starting to go bad. Any ideas on what could be making it burn oil like this???

Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla. Steer clear from VWs, they are generally troublesome and parts are insanely expensive. If you want something a bit bigger, go with an Accord or Camry. You will not be disappointed with any of them. As for mileage and longevity, it all depends on how the car was cared for and maintained. I have seen vehicles with 150,000 miles that were in better all around shape than cars with 80k. I personally like to stay below 150,000 miles or so, but would not hesitate to buy a car with more if it was well maintained and a decent deal. 200,000 is going too high for me.

It sure is a big dream. If you are able to own and love a dog of any breed and keep that dog for the length of its life, you will be blessed. I choose not the breeds, but rather the ones that are in the shelter's with no hope of any future for them at all. Dogs are very expensive and once you pick one out you should take care of that dog throughout the course of its life. I would love to save all and take all in but not feasibly possible. How to be motivated and stop being lazy?

Get a giant corkboard and put a calendar on there as well as a list of goals. For example if you want to work out an hour a day put that on there, or apply to college, learn a new skill, etc etc. However, don't just put them up there because then it's easy to put them off, you have to make a timeline as to when you want to have each goal accomplished. Once you have accomplished a goal you will feel pretty good about yourself and it will make you more motivated to accomplish more. You can start simple, for example, get out of bed by 10 am each morning and work your way up to more complex things.

My brother is 24 and him and his girlfriend are thinking about adopting a teenage boy between ages 12-16 because she read in an article about teenagers not getting adopted and end up living criminal lives after leaving foster care and that motivated both of them to take a stand. I'm sure I'm gonna get a lot of hate and attacks for this response. But I've felt that same way, and still do occasionally. For me, going out with friends/smoking weed/drinking/partying is a great release. It isolates my mind from the rest of life. I can simply let loose and enjoy myself. After relieving tension this way, I have more motivation to use for everything else. This may seem very illogical, but it works for me. Hope you figure out what works for you.

My dad has had this chronic cough for about 8 months now. He is about 70 pounds overweight, drinks too much beer, smokes, and eats awfully. I'd definitely look into the blue book value of it, and knock em down to it or less tho. And be careful with the black, my Jetta is black and it's HELL to keep lookin nice. But if you do modify it and make power, upgrade the clutch and stuff so you can have the most fun with it. I've heard all those horror stories too but in my experience, as an '07 Jetta owner, I've never had a more reliable car. I have 74000 miles on mine now, bought it at 34000 and I've only replaced a frozen washer fluid pump all under CPO warranty. Well, that and a few black door trim pieces that were fading and peeling in the SC sun. Replaced a dead battery too, but most likely because I added a shotty sound system in it. But mechanically, this car is amazing, I'm certain it'll reach 125000+ before anything big needs replacing. If you need help deciding among models, there's really only one choice IMO. Get an '06+ Jetta GLI or, if you need a hatchback, the GTI. Nearly identical cars, turbocharged, 0-60 in less than 7 seconds, and 32mpg hwy. I learned the hard way and settled for the 2.5 Jetta with auto, but still a great car. In addition, the '06-'07 Jetta 2.5s had 150hp, the '08+ has 170. But they're all geared to burn the rubber off no matter what you choose, just the 2.0 turbo is a much better choice.

Why could my dog be coughing?

For over 24 hours now, my dog has had a cough. It's not a wheezing coughing like it would be if it were kennel cough, but a cough that would be similar to if a person inhaled water or food and was coughing (or trying to cough) it up. Why have I become so lazy?

I know it seems like I just don't care but I do. Lately I have become really lazy and my grades have been taking a really hard hit. When my grades are bad I feel like I suck and I'm worthless and all I want to do is just go to sleep and forget about everything because only when I'm asleep I forget of how much of a failure am I. I look around at my classmates and they all seem to be doing fine and understand what's going on, then I look at myself and feel like i'm an idiot. I've always been the smart straight A's student but now I've been really falling behind for some reason. I am always really stressed since I have to excel at every single class at school if I want to get all A's and get into Med School and lately I've been thinking i'm too stupid to actually succeed, the MCAT just seems far out of my reach and yet I need to learn all of it and do great in it if I ever want to feel better about myself. Sometimes I want to change this and just study all day but I can't. Even if I slept all day and night I just don't feel like doing anything at all and feel like if I was very tired. It's not that I want to do something else like watch TV or play videogames, I don't even feel like doing any of those things that used to be fun at all anymore. The weather has been pretty good where I live and I've been able to work out at home and outside for quite a long time. think about how amazing you will look after! Take a picture of yourself now and take a picture of yourself skinner and put them side to side. Stick them to your fridge to remind you of your goal. Hii. I'm Sierra, and my BMI is obese. I weigh about 230 lbs. and I'm 5'5". I tried really hard at one point, but all my mom buys is junk food because she has a problem and can't lose weight, so she doesn't try. I love fruits and vegetables, well some veggies. I love almost all fruits though. She doesn't buy much of those, but when she does I eat it all. To be honest, I snack all day long, it's really starting to bother me.
