Help on choosing first car.?

Just as the title says, I will soon get my first car. My parents are looking to get me a brand new car but they're stuck between BMW, Volkswagen, and Audi. Could anyone tell me which one is the best with the pros and cons for each brand? Preferably looking for a car that runs on diesel. Thank you for your help.
